    "body": "<p style=\"text-align: justify\">(Jakarta, Indonesia) On June 10&ndash;11, the US&ndash;ASEAN Business Council (USABC) led a delegation of leading U.S. agri-food companies to Jakarta for its 2026 Food &amp; Agriculture Industry Mission to Indonesia, held under the theme &ldquo;Advancing U.S.&ndash;Indonesia Agri-Food Partnership: Growth, Investment, and Resilience.&rdquo; The mission convened senior executives and key Indonesian ministries to strengthen collaboration on food security, investment, innovation, and supply chain resilience. </p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">The mission kicked off with a briefing by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), followed by two executive roundtable sessions with senior Indonesian officials. Session 1, titled &ldquo;Positioning Indonesia&rsquo;s Food &amp; Agriculture Sector in the Global Supply Chain,&rdquo; explored opportunities to enhance Indonesia&rsquo;s role in regional and global value chains. Session 2, titled &ldquo;Strengthening Indonesia&rsquo;s Competitiveness through Investment, Trade Facilitation, and Regulatory Frameworks,&rdquo; focused on improving the enabling environment for investment, regulatory predictability, and trade facilitation. Speakers included representatives from the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Trade, National Food &amp; Drug Agency (BPOM), and Indonesian Quarantine Agency (BARANTIN). \u200b </p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">The delegation engagedwith senior officials from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Food Agency (BPN), National Economic Council (DEN), National Research and Intelligence Agency (BRIN), Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Indonesia Employers Association (APINDO), Indonesian Veterinary Drug Association (ASOHI, Institute for Economic and Social Research, Universitas Indonesia (LPEM FEB UI), Association of Indonesia&#039;s Food and Beverages Producers (GAPMMI), Center for Indonesian Policy Studies (CIPS). \u200b </p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">USABC also arranged a series of bilateral meetings with the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), Ministry of Health, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs. Discussions centered on supporting Indonesia&rsquo;s food security and domestic production goals, while identifying opportunities to enhance competitiveness, cost efficiency, and supply chain reliability. The mission also highlighted U.S. technology and innovation that can help modernize Indonesia&rsquo;s agri-food ecosystem and strengthen long-term strategic partnerships. \u200b </p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">&ldquo;Deepening U.S.&ndash;Indonesia cooperation is essential to ensuring resilience, sustainability, and shared economic growth, especially at a time when global food and agriculture systems are facing unprecedented challenges.&rdquo; said Nugraheni Utami, Head of the Delegation and the Council&rsquo;s Chief Country Representative for Indonesia. &ldquo;Our members remain committed to partnering with the Government of Indonesia to advance food security, strengthen supply chains, and support a conducive investment climate that benefits farmers, consumers, and businesses across both countries.&rdquo; </p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Companies who participated in the 2026 Food &amp; Agriculture Industry Mission to Indonesia include Corteva Agriscience, Elanco Animal Health, PepsiCo Services, and Thermo Fisher Scientific.</p>",
