USABC Leads the First Financial Services Delegation to Indonesia, Addressing Key Opportunities in Digital Transformation and Market Development for Economic Growth

(Jakarta, Indonesia) On July 9-10, 2025, the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) concluded its first Financial Services sectoral mission in Indonesia. The program consisted of bilateral meetings with 5 senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the ASEAN Secretariat.

In addition, USABC also organized the Financial Services Roundtable Dialogues titled “Building Responsible Innovation and Competitiveness in Financial Services: AI, Data, and Future-Proof Capacity for Indonesia”, attended by over 70 financial services stakeholders in Indonesia on July 10, 2025. The Roundtable Dialogues collaborated with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and had four sessions with topics focusing on AI, data systems, ESG development, market preparedness, to innovation for the financial services ecosystem in Indonesia.

The sectoral mission was led by Interim Chief Country Representative for Indonesia, Ms. Nugraheni Utami, and Mr. Ritesh Maheshwari, Managing Director and Head of Southeast Asia, S&P Global Ratings, as USABC Financial Services Committee Vice-Chair.

Such engagement fosters greater business confidence, and our member companies remain committed to supporting Indonesia’s growth and its role as a key market in the region. The US-ASEAN Business Council and our members look forward to strengthening collaboration with relevant stakeholders to help build a more competitive, resilient, and sustainable financial services ecosystem in Indonesia,” said Ms. Nugraheni Utami.

Companies participating in the mission included AWS, BowerGroupAsia, Manulife, and S&P Global.
