US-ASEAN Business Council Reinforces Commitment to Cambodia’s Long-Term Growth

(Phnom Penh, Cambodia)— On July 21 – 22, the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) led its 2026 Cambodia Business Mission, convening a delegation of fourteen U.S. companies for high-level engagements with Prime Minister Hun Manet, Senate President Hun Sen, and senior leaders from the Royal Government of Cambodia. The mission reaffirmed the U.S. private sector's commitment to supporting Cambodia's development priorities under the Pentagonal Strategy through investment, innovation, technology transfer, and public-private collaboration, while deepening U.S.-Cambodia trade and economic ties.

The delegation was co-led by USABC's President and CEO Ambassador Brian McFeeters (ret.) and the USABC Board Vice Chair Greg Walters, Executive Director for International Government Relations for S.C. Johnson (SCJ).

"We are optimistic about Cambodia's growth trajectory and encouraged by the government's continued commitment to creating a more competitive investment environment. U.S. companies stand ready to be long-term partners in Cambodia's development.”, said Ambassador McFeeters. “This mission marks the beginning of the next phase of our engagement—focused on follow-up, follow-through, and delivering concrete outcomes that benefit both Cambodia and the United States," he added.

Over the two-day mission, the delegation discussed concrete avenues to deepen public-private collaboration measures to enhance Cambodia's attractiveness as a destination for high-quality investment. Discussions highlighted the importance of regulatory transparency, predictable business policies, and continued dialogue to support investor confidence.

The delegation met with Prime Minister Hun Manet, Senate President Hun Sen; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Sokha; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Aun Pornmonorith; Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol; and other key cabinet officials. The delegation was also received and hosted to a welcome reception by U.S. Embassy’s Chargé d'Affaires Aleks Zittle.
