US-ASEAN Business Council Hosted a Financial Services Briefing Roundtable Focusing on AI on the sidelines of Singapore FinTech Festival 2025

(Singapore, November 11, 2025) – The US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) convened a Financial Services Briefing Roundtable on the sidelines of the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) 2025. The briefing served as a platform to support strategic public-private dialogue and share best practices to advance the financial services ecosystem in ASEAN, especially in artificial intelligence (AI). The briefing roundtable hosted ASEAN stakeholders, private sector representatives, and industry associations to exchange insights on how AI in the financial services ecosystem can be further leveraged to promote trust, safety, and innovation across the ASEAN financial landscape.
“This is a timely opportunity to hold such a dialogue on emerging technologies, particularly AI, which is reshaping not only business models but also regulatory approaches across ASEAN and beyond. We hope this platform will serve as a valuable avenue for regulators and industry leaders to exchange insights and help shape policies that foster innovation while safeguarding financial integrity and public trust,” said Mario Masaya, Vice President of Research, Technology, and Financial Services of the US-ASEAN Business Council. Reflecting this shared commitment, Dr. Wong Hue Ching, Executive Director of Digital Strategy and Innovation at the Securities Commission Malaysia, also expressed her support for advancing AI innovation in financial services and conveyed her interest in learning from best practices and use cases to help shape a principles-based approach. This briefing roundtable was supported by JPMorganChase.
